Cassandra Simmons

Economics and History | 2023

Cassandra is a junior double-majoring in Economics and History with a concentration in Data Analytics. As a first-generation Boilermaker from Austin, Texas, she has fallen in love with every aspect of Purdue, from cheering on the Boilermakers at sports games to engaging in the many long-held traditions and opportunities that Purdue has to offer. Cassandra serves on the Purdue Foundation Student Board Philanthropy Committee. In addition to Purdue Foundation Student Board, Cassandra serves as the Vice-President of Purdue Pre-Law Society, mentors in the Larsen Leaders Academy Mentoring Program (LAMP), and grades for the Department of History at Purdue. Cassandra plans to attend law school following graduation and pursue a career focused on Constitutional Law and the intersection between economics and politics. Outside of Purdue, Cassandra is taking the next step in her career aspirations and working as an Undergraduate Legal Intern with Gibson Law Office, a locally-based law firm that serves clients across Indiana. You might run into her playing soccer or at St. Tom’s, when she is not in the classroom or hanging out with friends. This year in PFSB, Cassandra is excited to collaborate with the philanthropy committee members on our Student Organizations Alumni Relations (SOAR) program and Why Give? campaign and help organizations on campus tap into their proud, Boilermaker alumni!
