Assistant Vice President of Donor Relations
As the Assistant Vice President for Donor Relations, April Headdy manages the President’s and Vice President for Development’s portfolio of current and prospective donors giving $1M+, building strategies for activity. In addition, April proactively and strategically plans and manages the President and Vice President for development activities through travel and on-campus visits, collaborating with University Development Office schools and unit colleagues to build the pipeline of $1M+ prospects who should be seen by University leadership.
April also oversees the President’s Council, an organization dedicated to recruiting, retaining, and recognizing leadership donors, advocates, and volunteers who support Purdue University. President’s Council recognizes all annual gifts of $1,000 or more and a cumulative giving amount of $100,000 or more.
In addition, she serves as advisor to the Purdue Foundation Student Board (PFSB), a student organization made up of 40-50 students who possess strong leadership qualities and serve as philanthropic ambassadors to the entire Purdue University student body. PFSB offers students the opportunity to learn about the importance of private donor support and its impact on their lives and Purdue University. They represent the University on all levels, including interaction with Purdue alumni at various events on and off campus.
April earned her degree in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan and has been with the University Development Office in various positions for over 20 years.
