Deeya Sharma is a sophomore studying Electrical Engineering with a minor in Finance and an intended concentration in Electric Power and Energy Systems. Originally from Leesburg, Virginia, she is passionate about fostering a sense of community, which she pursues through her roles as an Ambassador for the College of Electrical and Computer Engineering and as a Team Leader for Boiler Gold Rush. On campus, she also serves as a Mentor for the Women in Engineering Program and is involved with the Purdue University Dance Marathon on the Logistics Committee.

Deeya enjoys spending time with family, playing soccer, and hiking. She can often be found on the sidelines cheering on Purdue sports teams. Growing up near the United States Naval Academy inspired her interest in public service, and she hopes to continue this passion by working in the public sector or with the Department of Defense in the future. Through her role in PFSB, Deeya is excited to connect with students and alumni and give back to the Purdue community.
