Recruitment & Outreach Committee

Andrew Rodriguez is a junior in the Polytechnic Institute, pursuing a degree in Aeronautical Engineering Technology with a minor in Aerospace Studies. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Andrew moved to Lakeland, Florida at a young age, where his passion for aviation took flight. He attended Central Florida Aerospace Academy for high school, an experience that further fueled his interest in the aerospace field. Currently working toward his private pilot’s license, Andrew is deeply involved in the aviation community. He has volunteered for several years with the SUN 'n FUN Aerospace Expo, one of the largest airshows in the country. For Andrew, the most rewarding part of working with SUN 'n FUN has been the opportunity to connect with industry professionals and accomplished pilots who have mentored and inspired him along the way. In addition to his academic and aviation pursuits, Andrew is an active member of Arnold Air Society, a professional, honorary service organization dedicated to building strong officers for the United States Air Force and Space Force. Through this organization, he participates in numerous community service projects and leadership development opportunities. He is also a dedicated cadet in Purdue University’s Air Force ROTC program, with aspirations to be commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force upon graduation. Outside of academics and ROTC, Andrew prioritizes physical fitness and outdoor activities. He enjoys hiking, cycling, and running, and is currently training for his first triathlon with the long-term goal of competing in a full Ironman competition.
