WHAT WE DO
THE "WHY GIVE?" INITIATIVE
Created by students for students, the “Why Give?” initiative features monthly events highlighting the value and significance of private giving at Purdue. Through interactive activities and other learning opportunities, PFSB members interact with their peers to promote philanthropic ideals at the University.
STUDENT ORGANIZATION ALUMNI RELATIONS (SOAR)
The SOAR program teaches student organizations at Purdue how to effectively cultivate relationships with donors and build their alumni networks. Facilitating long-lasting connections with alumni will ensure the continued success of campus organizations and encourage students to foster strong relationships within the University.
PURDUE DAY OF GIVING
Purdue Day of Giving is an annual single-day online fundraising event for Purdue University. In this event, for 24 hours, friends of Purdue help the University take the next giant leap by granting opportunities for the next generation of Boilermakers. Purdue Foundation Student Board members organize student involvement in the Purdue Day of Giving and contribute to the success of student fundraising.
BUILD DINNER
Build Dinner is a formal dinner aimed to connect and invest in emerging underclassmen Boilermaker leaders. Each year, the evening features a distinguished speaker and a unique leadership development experience focused on celebrating early success as a Purdue student.
PRESIDENT'S COUNCIL EVENTS
PFSB members have the opportunity to participate in various President’s Council events throughout the year. President's Council members are Purdue alumni who have given at least $1,000 each year a one-time donation of $25,000 or larger. PFSB members interact with donors at President’s Council tailgates, Annual Weekend festivities, and other special events led by the Purdue For Life Foundation.
