Shay Doerstler

Shay Doerstler is a current Junior studying Agribusiness Management and Agronomy Crop & Soil Science. Coming from a family farm in Greens Fork, IN, she has learned to love agriculture and the small community that surrounded her. Community service and servant leadership are very close to her heart and she spends much of her free time volunteering at several different organizations both in her hometown and in the Purdue University community. At Purdue, Shay is involved in Ann Tweedale Cooperative, Purdue Cooperative Council Ag Econ Envoys and Agribusiness Club and holds various leadership positions.

 

Shay enjoys showing livestock and traveling the country to with her close family, friends, and dog Ginger. She appreciates the life-long lessons and skills these opportunities have given her and she looks forward to how these will impact her in the future. After graduation, Shay hopes to find her career within an agricultural company advocating for young farmers beginning their journey. This next year she hopes to learn from and connect with the members of PFSB and Purdue alumni.
